Joe Sostarich, Founder & CEO

 

Joe Sostarich brings years of entrepreneurial experience to MedX12, Inc., as well as a breadth of knowledge about bringing start-up companies to profitability. An icon of the entrepreneur community in Louisville and throughout the Midwest, Joe began assembling his extensive resume after graduation from Bowling Green Business University, where he received a bachelor’s degree with co-majors in Accounting and Business Administration. He was employed immediately after graduation by Brown and Williamson, where he served as Tax Director. He became Special Project Director of British-American Tobacco Company, where he obtained over a hundred million dollars in tax credits for the company. During and after his service to British-American, Joe headed a consulting company whose clients included Saks Fifth Ave, Marshall Fields, and Appleton Paper Co. Also, under a contract awarded to Joe’s company by the Ecuadorian government, the firm revised the country’s entire tax code in order to comply with international contracting standards. 
In 1999, Mr. Sostarich co-founded ZirMed Inc, a healthcare services company which currently employs 175 people, generating multi-millions of dollars in revenues and profits. He shepherded ZirMed through its early years and the slow development of health claims clearinghouse technologies. Soon after leaving ZirMed to explore other options, Joe founded MedX12 LLC (in 2005) to acquire the technology and Payer clients of an Arizona healthcare technology company. He presided over moving that company’s technology, clients and staff to Louisville and merged it into a Delaware corporation (the present MedX12, Inc.) that he had formed to take advantage of Delaware’s supportive corporation and investment laws. Mr. Sostarich has been the recipient of many business awards, including most recently being named a Business First partner for services to the area healthcare community and a finalist for the 2009 MediStar Innovation Award.




Theresa Neal, Vice President of Sales

 

Theresa has more than 25 years of business sales experience. She began her career in 1981 at a local bank where she worked for 20 years in numerous management positions. She was the supervisor of the local Telemarketing department for 6 years and was selected as project co-manager to create a corporate wide Telemarketing Center which employed over 100 Representatives. This Center included both an inbound and outbound sales force along with a customer service staff that serviced both personal and business customers of over 800 branches encompassing 8 states. She was promoted to Sector Sales Manager of the retail branches in Louisville for 5 years and was an Assistant Vice President in the Retail Division for 11 years. She continued her career in finance as the Operations Manager of a local Mortgage Company overseeing a staff of 18.
